My research interests are in the areas of human-computer interaction and intelligent interactive systems. My work focuses on software learnability, improving computing experiences in rural and remote communities, and designing technologies for children and families.
Prior to arriving at the U of M, I worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Waterloo in the Human-Computer Interaction Lab. In June 2007, I completed my Ph.D. at the University of British Columbia, where I also completed a M.Sc. in 2001. My B.Sc. is from Queen's University.
