VMWare System’s Lab Image
We have an equivalent of the System’s Lab systems available for running under VMWare. You will need to copy the image from silicon.cs.umanitoba.ca. The files are in /data/partimag/ and are called el62-i686.vmdk (32-bit) and el62-x86_64.vmdk (64-bit). The images are identical, so it’s your choice if you want to run the 32 or 64 bit version of the OS. Note that there is only the root account, with the same password as in the lab (which you will receive at the beginning of your first lab).
Assignment 1
Assignment 1 is now available and is due in just under three weeks.
Test Dates
The in-class tests will be held June 4th and July 11th. Each test will take up the entire class (i.e. there will be no lectures on those days).
Lab 1
Lab 1 is now available. Please review the material prior to your lab next week.
