Presentation
Each student will research one specific exemplary Expert System or - alternatively - a scientific topic in
Expert Systems research.
The research should be based on current literature, e.g. an article in the International Journal on Expert Systems
with Applications. Check out the library online search.
You can also use online information about an actual, current Expert System, e.g. a
well documented commercial Expert System.
Choose a system or topic according to your interests. If you have any problems or questions,
get in touch with your instructor.
-
Description:
-
The presentation describes various aspects related to the design, implementation and use of the Expert System.
-
A focus of the presentation is the technology used to implement the Expert System (e.g. reasoning strategies,
use of certainty factors, probabilistic rules, etc. - see Introduction Notes).
-
Another aspect is the design and development process of the system (e.g knowledge acquisition through interview with experts;
test of the system; development time).
-
If available, provide information about the final use and evaluation of the system (e.g.
Where is it used? How many users? Are the clients and users happy with the system?)
-
You can show a demo of the system, if available.
-
Deliverables:
-
You have to suggest a topic and send relevant literature and/or links to online material
