Skyladder. The most popular route up the mountain, a classic snow/ice climb of the Rockies. First ascent by J. Fairly & B. Parks in July 1960.
Route is moderately steep just above bergschrund [4] then the angle reduces to pleasant snow climb as top of shoulder is reached [5].
If much ice is exposed the climb could require considerable belaying. YDS grade II, grade 2 ice. UIAA III+.

The red line indicates our route up Skyladder.
The blue line is the continuation along the summit ridge to the true summit [6] (which we did not have time to complete).
