KUPA'07 is the First International Workshop on Knowledge Management and Discovery for Ubiquitous and Pervasive Applications, which is organized in conjunction with
the 18th International Conference on Database and Expert Systems Applications (DEXA’07) in Regensburg, Germany, on 3-7 September 2007.
DescriptionDue to recent advancements in communication technology, computing, and storage resources, ubiquitous and pervasive applications are becoming increasingly popular. However, the large scale integration and examination of heterogeneous and independent data and knowledge sources has created new issues and challenges for knowledge management and acquisition. The objective of this workshop is to bring together academics and industry professionals to discuss recent progress and challenges in knowledge management and discovery for ubiquitous, pervasive, distributed, and heterogeneous environments.
