While living in British Columbia, climbing and mountaineering were my two primary recreational interests, along with backpacking in summer and backcountry skiing in winter. On this page I have included trip reports and a list of peaks summited; these are mostly weekend alpine climbs, ski ascents, or scrambles around the BC lower mainland, but they also include a few climbs in the Selkirks, Canadian Rockies, and Cascades. Some of the more exciting adventures include visits to the Canadian Rockies in July 2002, the Columbia Icefields in February 2003 and again in May 2005, the Tantalus Range in July 2004, and the Great Divide Trail in July 2005. Cycling has kept me busy since moving to regions lacking steep terrain; during the summer of 2006, I cycled across Canada from Vancouver to St. John's.
